My name is Tammy Alexander, and I am in my 36th year of service in public education.  I graduated from Northwestern State University in Louisiana and have taught in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas.  I was in the classroom as an English teacher and/or French teacher for 26 years before I accepted the position I now have.  As instructional coordinator for the English and social studies departments, I assist teachers with curriculum and assessments.  As testing coordinator, I coordinate testing at CHS, which includes PLAN, PSAT, ASVAB, TAKS, EOC, AP testing, and special services testing referrals.  My office is located in the counselor's office.

My husband Rory and I have been married for 33 years, and we have two grown children, Staci and Kyle, both CHS alumni.  Staci is married to Matt, and their daughter Peyton is three.  They live in San Antonio.  Kyle is married to Kaley and their new daughter Kora Brooke is two months old.  They live here in Carthage.

When I am not at school, I enjoy doing crafts, reading a book, and spending time with my friends and my family.  Now that I am a grandmother, everybody else takes a back seat to those granddaughters!
