This morning, our entire district packed the gym for Convocation, and it felt more like a pep rally than a meeting! A big shoutout to the Battlinā Bulldog Band, CHS Cheerleaders, and our Bulldog Belles Drill Team for bringing the energy and school spirit to start the day strong.
We also celebrated Shannon Royce for an incredible 25 years of service to CISD along with other faculty members for their service anniversaries. Thank you for your dedication to our students and community!
Coach Bubba Watson kept the momentum high, and we were inspired by a special video message from Congressman Moran along with words of encouragement from Superintendent Mr. Bitter and Board President Dr. Donald.

Carthage Lady Dawgs Volleyball to Host Annual Alumni Game This Saturday
Carthage High School is proud to welcome back former athletes for a beloved traditionāthe Lady Dawgs Volleyball Alumni Game, set for Saturday, August 8 at 3:00 PM in the Carthage High School Gym.
This spirited event will feature current varsity Lady Dawgs facing off against alumni from past years in a friendly but competitive match that celebrates the legacy of Carthage Volleyball. The annual showdown between past and present players offers fans a chance to reconnect, relive memories, and cheer on generations of student-athletes who have worn the maroon and white.
Admission is free and open to the public. All students, families, community members, and alumni are invited to attend and show their support.
The alumni game is one of our favorite traditions. It gives our current players a chance to meet the women who helped build this program and to see firsthand the pride that comes with being a Lady Dawg.
Whether youāre a former player, a proud parent, or just a fan of great volleyball, this event is a fun way to celebrate Carthageās volleyball legacy. Be sure to bring your school spirit and help us fill the gym with support for both teams.

Bulldog Youth Football Camp Brings Energy and Excitement
The Carthage Bulldogs Youth Football Camp, held July 31 and August 1, brought out an impressive group of young athletes ready to compete and learn. Campers showed off their skills, worked hard alongside coaches and high school athletes, and brought incredible energy to the field.
A highlight of the camp was the always-competitive Speedball Super Bowl, where the team led by Jett Surratt and Carson Crawford claimed the championship title. Several participants also earned the distinction of āFastest Manā in their respective grades and positions, showing off their speed and athleticism.
Weāre proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and Bulldog pride these young athletes brought to camp. The future is bright in Carthage, and weāre excited to carry this momentum into another great season of Bulldog Football!
