Carthage High School has earned an A rating and a score of 92 out of 100 on the 2025–26 Texas Education Agency School Report Card.
In addition to its overall A rating, Carthage High School earned three Distinction Designations:
Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts
Top 25%: Comparative Academic Growth
Top 25%: Comparative Closing the Gaps
The results reflect the continued work of CHS students, teachers, staff, families, and the Carthage community. The distinctions in academic growth and closing achievement gaps are especially meaningful indicators of the progress being made to help students succeed.
“We are extremely proud of our students and staff for earning an A rating,” CHS Principal Staci Davis said. “This accomplishment represents a tremendous amount of work by many people, but we also understand that our work is not finished. We will celebrate the progress while continuing to identify areas where we can improve and better serve every student.”
While the 92 rating and three distinctions provide plenty to celebrate, Carthage High School remains focused on continued improvement. Campus leaders and staff will use the accountability results alongside other student-performance data to identify strengths, address areas of need, and continue raising expectations for student achievement.
The goal remains bigger than any single accountability rating: preparing every Carthage High School student with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities necessary to succeed after graduation.
We celebrate this achievement. We continue the work.
Proud of the progress. Focused on what’s next.
