Carthage High School is proud to announce the five senior couples selected to represent CHS as members of the 2026 Homecoming Court.
This year’s court features students whose high school careers have been marked by achievement in athletics, academics, leadership, extracurricular activities and service to their school and community.
Bryston Price and Kyrsten Haggerty
Bryston Price, son of Skyler Price and Necole Mitchell, is the grandson of Sylvia White and Thedis Mitchell.
Price has been a member of the Carthage Bulldogs varsity football team for three years, helping the Bulldogs capture two state championships. He earned First Team All-District honors in football in 2025 and has also competed in varsity basketball, where he earned First Team All-District recognition.
Following graduation, Price plans to continue his education and athletic career while pursuing a degree in sports management.
Kyrsten Haggerty serves as head captain of the varsity cheer squad and captain of the varsity volleyball team. She is also parliamentarian of the National Honor Society, a member of Student Council and a UIL participant.
Following graduation, Haggerty plans to attend a university and study biochemistry with the goal of becoming an obstetrician-gynecologist.
Cooper Walters and Caroline Lawrence
Cooper Walters, son of Bobby and Melissa Walters, is the grandson of Rick and Angela Hardy, Kenneth Walters and the late Brenda Walters.
During his high school career, Walters has participated in FFA, TSA, UIL Academics, National Honor Society and football. A four-year member of both FFA and TSA, he is a three-time TSA national qualifier and currently serves as FFA president. He is also a captain of the Bulldog football team.
Following graduation, Walters plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in construction science.
Caroline Lawrence, daughter of Eric and Ashley Lawrence, is the granddaughter of Kim and Steve Lawrence and Jeff and Jean Godwin.
Lawrence is involved in varsity cheer, varsity golf, National Honor Society, UIL, FFA and Student Council. She also serves as senior class vice president.
Following graduation, Lawrence plans to attend college and pursue a degree in broadcast journalism.
Colton Vickery and Ava Shull
Colton “Colt” Vickery, son of Michelle and Brad Vickery, is the grandson of Linda and the late David Vickery and Betty and Dr. John Chumbley.
A four-year member of the CHS athletic program, Vickery has earned First Team and Second Team All-District basketball honors, as well as Academic All-District recognition.
He is a member of the Carthage High School National Honor Society and Panola College Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and participates on the CHS UIL Debate Team.
Vickery has also volunteered with Mission Carthage, the Back to School Bash, Potlatch and the Keith Steptoe Foundation.
Following graduation, he plans to attend college and pursue a business degree in finance.
Ava Shull, daughter of Randall Shull and Ashley Vance, is the granddaughter of Trey and Rebecca Fecteau and Mark and Shari Watson.
Shull is a four-year member of the cheer team and serves as a varsity cheer captain. She also participates in golf, National Honor Society and UIL and serves as senior class treasurer and National Honor Society social media officer. She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the Panola College History Club.
Following graduation, Shull plans to attend Texas A&M University and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing before continuing her education to become a nurse practitioner.
Jesus Lopez and Jaleah Williams
Jesus Lopez, son of Nahin and Maria Garduza, has participated in varsity football and varsity soccer throughout his time at Carthage High School.
Following graduation, Lopez plans to attend college, earn a degree and work toward building a successful career.
Jaleah Williams, daughter of Moe and Jocelyn Williams, is the granddaughter of Aubra and Vanessa Williams and John McMillian and the late Jackie McMillian.
Williams is a member of CHS varsity cheer and a four-year varsity softball starter. During her softball career, she has earned numerous honors, including 2023–24 Newcomer of the Year and 2024–25 Offensive MVP.
Outside athletics, Williams has served as Student Council secretary for four years and is a member of the yearbook staff. Her community service has included volunteering with Junior High Summer Ball, CHS blood drives, Panola Clean-Up Day and Mini Cheer Camps.
Caleb Smith and Hudsyn Wulf
Caleb Smith, son of Brandon and Becky Smith, is the grandson of Ronnie and Debra Smith, Kathleen Butler and Larry Smith.
Smith has participated in varsity football throughout his four years at Carthage, including two years as a starter. He has earned First Team All-District honors and is a two-time state champion with the Bulldogs.
In addition to football, Smith has participated in welding for four years and has been a member of the yearbook staff for three years.
Following graduation, Smith plans to attend college and pursue a degree in criminal justice.
Hudsyn Wulf, daughter of Deuce and Kim Wulf, is the granddaughter of Fred and Mickey Wulf and Billy and Gloria Cook.
Wulf is a member of Student Council, serves as vice president of the National Honor Society and is a captain of the cheer team. She also participates in volleyball and golf and is a dual-credit student.
Her community service includes volunteering with King’s Cabinet, Mission Carthage and Potlatch, as well as participating in United Way house-painting projects.
Following graduation, Wulf plans to attend either the University of Oklahoma or Texas A&M University.
