🧬✨ Anatomy in Action with Mrs. Hadwin’s Class! ✨🧬

Learning comes alive when students get to step out of their seats and experience concepts firsthand. In Anatomy & Physiology, Mrs. Hadwin’s students took their lesson on directional and regional terms of the human body to the next level by going full scale!

Armed with giant sheets of butcher paper and markers, students traced full-sized outlines of the human body and then worked together to label and model anatomical regions. From identifying the proximal end of the femur to mapping out the cephalic and abdominal regions, the class used collaboration, creativity, and movement to master important medical vocabulary.

This kind of interactive learning not only builds deeper understanding but also creates a classroom environment where students are engaged, confident, and excited about what they’re learning. A huge shoutout to Mrs. Hadwin for making science unforgettable and showing our Bulldogs that education can be active, hands-on, and fun! ❤️🤍

Mrs. Foster’s Geometry students aren’t just sitting in their seats...they’re living their math!

Today’s lesson on points, lines, and planes came to life as students got up and moving, using themselves and a floor-sized graph to create real-world geometry vocabulary.

From forming intersecting lines to demonstrating planes with their classmates, this hands-on activity made abstract concepts tangible, fun, and unforgettable.

🔬 Chemistry Never Tasted So Sweet! Coach McFall’s Chemistry students turned unit conversions into fudge creations this week! Using dimensional analysis, they solved real-world problems like converting liters of milk into teaspoons to get the perfect single-serving recipe. The lesson was designed around a fun challenge: Grandma’s secret fudge recipe was written in tricky, “funky” measurements to ward off copycats. Students had to take ingredients written in scientific notation, convert them into standard notation, and then apply conversion factors to turn them into usable amounts. From converting 1.50 x 10⁻⁵ m³ of butter into tablespoons to 1.32 x 10⁻³ gallons of milk into teaspoons, and even figuring out how many drops are in a fraction of a teaspoon of vanilla, students showed their problem-solving skills before finally whipping up their own fudge. 🍫 This hands-on (and delicious) lesson is a great example of how engaging teaching brings learning to life by making science meaningful, memorable, and fun. 👏 Sweet science, sharp minds, and the Bulldog difference in action! ❤️🤍 #CarthageBulldogs #LearningInAction #SweetScience #BetterAsABulldog #WeAreCHS

On August 26, students attended the Panola County Commissioners Court meeting, toured the courthouse with County Judge Rodger McLane, and met with each department to see how they serve the citizens of Panola County.
